When I first connected to Agape Faith Church in 2005, it was through the Clemmons campus of Life Christian University.   Now, 12 years and 3 degrees later, I’m still amazed to see how the Lord integrates individuals into the body of Christ and into the lives of others around them.

I first became aware of Impact University even before there was an Impact University.  I transitioned into Impact as a graduate student having first received a Bachelor’s degree in Theology at LCU.  I wasn’t sure at the time what I would do with the education and training, but I knew the end result would be good.  I knew that I wanted to be a better husband, father, friend, employee, etc.  And I knew this was one way to accomplish such a goal.

I’ve been a student, a teacher, and most recently a member of a team at Impact that is essential for helping plan the future of the University.  I’ve been able to discover not just who I am in Christ, but I’ve been able to uncover a deeper revelation of His call on my life.  The Word of God is anointed and when we submit to the Word, surrender to the Word, and become intimate with the Word, we can begin to operate in the truth that is the Word!  Remember, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) and everything that He did for all of humanity, He did for each of us personally.  And He wants to fulfill all that He has planned for each of us.   And it’s all good – exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).  God wants us to see ourselves through His eyes, from His perspective with an expectation of the miraculous.  And then He wants us to walk in it.  As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him (Colossians 2:6).

As a graduate student, I was able to lead chapel and speak into the lives of the interns and minister to them on an individual basis as well as a classroom setting.  Now, half a dozen years later, I report to some of those same interns (who are now Pastors) on ministry teams and they are speaking into my life!  I can see Matthew 19:30 and 20:16 at work – the last will be first and the first will be last.  Some of my best friends are those interns who are now knit into the fabric of Impact University and Agape Faith Church.  Collectively we are stronger than we are individually.  I am better and I am stronger with them in my life.  I believe that a mighty army of warriors is being raised up through the growth and association of Godly men and women at Impact University.  And I am blessed and honored to continue to be part of this development and connection.
