About the Course

Spiritual warfare might sound intense, but it’s really about learning how to stand strong in your faith when life gets tough. This course takes what the Bible says about the battle between good and evil and shows you how it connects to your everyday world—on campus, at home, in relationships, and even in your own thoughts. You’ll see that the enemy has real strategies, but so does God, and His always win.
Here’s the difference: we don’t just talk about theory. You’ll actually get to practice what you’re learning—things like prayer, worship, fasting, and standing on God’s promises. It’s about discovering how to walk in freedom yourself and then being able to encourage and stand with others. By the time you finish, you’ll be more confident, more equipped, and ready to face challenges with courage and peace.

Everything Rises and Falls on Leadership

Overcoming addictions can be a struggle for so many people. Even within the body of Christ, we see people who deal with that reality on a regular basis. Addictions can wreak havoc on our bodies, tear our families apart, and ruin our relationships. Thank God for life-changing resources both inside and outside of the church. Counseling is one of the most valuable resources available to those who are struggling with addiction. Those who are called to this specific branch of counseling can have a huge impact in the lives and futures of struggling people.

Help People Rebuild Their Lives

Addiction affects individuals, families, churches, and communities. Many people searching for recovery are also searching for guidance, accountability, and hope. Trained counselors play a critical role in helping people navigate the recovery process and build a healthier future.
Impact University’s Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certification Program (DAP) is designed to equip students with the counseling knowledge, practical skills, and professional preparation needed to support individuals facing substance use challenges.
Students learn how addiction develops, how it affects behavior and relationships, and how structured counseling can help individuals move toward recovery.
