Addictions can wreak havoc on our bodies, tear our families apart, and ruin our relationships. Thank God for life-changing resources both inside and outside of the church. Counseling is one of the most valuable resources available to those who are struggling with addiction. Those who are called to this specific branch of counseling can have a huge impact in the lives and futures of struggling people.

If any of this sounds like you, our Certified Alcohol and Drug Counseling or is integrated into our Christian Counseling and Theology Programs at Impact University in North Carolina. Every student in our CADC Program is equipped with valuable counseling skills and given the tools to help those who struggle with addiction.
Our certification program prepares and qualifies you to take the North Carolina state board exam to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselors are proficient in Twelve Core Functions. These include screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, report and record keeping, consultation with other professionals regarding client treatment and services, and referral to treat addictive disorder or disease and help prevent relapse.
